How to get in Catanduanes 

Catanduanes is a hidden paradise in the Philippines — and getting here is part of the adventure. Don’t worry, we’ll help you every step of the way! By Air (Fastest Option) Fly from Manila to Virac (VRC) Direct flights available via Cebgo (Cebu Pacific). Flight duration: Around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once we have your flight details, we’ll arrange your pickup from Virac Airport to your accommodation.

Explore the island’s best waves – from world-class barrels to mellow breaks! Catanduanes is known as the "Surfing Capital of Bicol" and offers waves for every kind of surfer — from beginner-friendly beaches to powerful reef breaks. Here are the top surf spots on the island: Majestic Surf Spot (Puraran) – Barrels of Bicol Puraran Beach, Baras Best for: Beginner to advanced surfers Wave Type: Right-hand reef break, barrels during peak swell Best Season: July to October (surf season) Known internationally as “Majestics,” this is Catanduanes’ crown jewel — famous for its powerful, hollow right-hand waves. Perfect for experienced surfers looking for that perfect tube! Moning Point – Secret Gem Near Puraran Best for: All lever surfers Wave Type: Fast and shallow reef break Best Conditions: perfect swells with clean winds Moning Point is a more secluded surf spot close to Puraran. It’s not always breaking, but when it does, it’s heavy, fast, and thrilling. Best surfed with local knowledge. Tilod Point (River Mouth) – Long, Mellow Rides Tilod area, Baras Best for: Beginners to intermediate surfers Wave Type: Soft river-mouth break Best Season: October to March This spot offers long, playful rides that are perfect for practicing turns or learning to surf. It’s a peaceful, scenic place with friendly local vibes — great for longboarders too. Magnesia – Virac’s Local Spot Magnesia del Sur, Virac Best for: All levels (depending on swell) Wave Type: Reef and beach break combo Best Time: November- February, but depends on local conditions Located closer to town, Magnesia is a favorite for Virac-based surfers. It works best during certain tides and swell directions.

Solo travelers, couples, groups of friends — anyone with a love for adventure, nature, and new experiences is invited to join.
